Do you suffer from Fall Allergies?

What would you say if we said YOU DON’T HAVE TO!

Many of us look forward to fall – with crisp air and comfy clothes, but for those with allergies, fall is bitter-sweet.

This doesn’t have to be… why?

Because we have a tried, tested and true process that works to correct the root cause of fall allergies!

It sounds too good to be true, but we’ve helped thousands of people with our allergy testing method.

If your symptoms typically start in August/September, this is how we can help seriously reduce, and even prevent these symptoms from starting AND continuing through different seasons.

Ragweed & Golden Rod are huge factors in Fall Allergies. They’re almost everwhere and the cool breezes allow it’s flower to whisp through the air.

Ragweed is the biggest allergy trigger in the fall. Though it usually starts to pollenate with cool nights and warm days in August, it can last into September and October.

About 75% of people allergic to spring plants also have reactions to ragweed in the fall.

The system we use to test and treat your symptoms can reduce your reaction significantly with a few pain-free sessions!

BioScan – Our amazing Holistic Allergy Testing System

This non-invasive, no-needle allergy testing technique is the perfect option for children who are terrified of needles!

Not only do we do the testing for your specific requests, we also scan other energy throughout your body detecting other areas of needed improvement.

A complete body scan and overall health assessment!

If you are interested in experiencing this for yourself, call to book an appointment… but don’t wait too long or fall allergies will be in full force!

Booking an appointment before spores and pollens begin to fly could get you through the entire fall season with no drugs or pharmaceuticals!

Summer Allergies may be delayed but your symptoms will be even stronger this year!

The seasons have been a bit delayed this year due to weird weather conditions. This is why you may be experiencing your Spring Allergies later than usual and need to get ready for your summer allergies to come on full force!

Snow moulds are finally gone but because Winter was so long trees didn’t start to bud until recently.

We are curretnly experiencing tree allergies, cut grasses, and new flower allergies ALL AT THE SAME TIME!

It’s overwhelming to our systems…

Here is a little more information on Summer Allergies in Canada:

This part of the blog was written Tuesday, April 11, 2017, 7:00 AM – by The Weather Network

“Is Fluffy making you stuffy? Or is Rover sending you over the edge with a maddening runny nose and itchy eyes?

Welcome to the world of allergies. The truth is that while companion pets are good for our emotional wellbeing, they can also be very bad for allergy sufferers, causing a whole lot of sneezing and wheezing.

Same for the great outdoors: It’s a real health booster for some but a curse for others. Warm weather unleashes a veritable vortex of airborne pollen and other indoor and outdoor allergens, affecting a growing number of us, making us all teary eyed and sniffly on nice sunny days.

Call it the agony and the allergy. Prepare to be deluged with pollen.

First comes the tree pollen, with April and May being the peak times, soon followed by grass pollen, which peaks in June and July. Once the grass allergy season tapers off there’s no time for our watery eyes to dry up – here come the moulds in soils, compost and on grasses. It’s the spores in the moulds that may cause allergic reactions by ending up inside the nose, mouth and throat. Then there’s still no rest for the sneezers – come August to October, ragweed is the chief culprit, a major pollen producer, bringing misery far and wide. Especially if you live in the city, ragweed thrives in disturbed soil, growing bigger and producing much more pollen.

Add to that mess some dust mites and pet dander, and there’s no breathing easy for the masses of Canadians that suffer from seasonal allergies long after April showers and May flowers. Allergy suffers are especially taking a beating now that the warm weather has arrived, resigned to hibernating for a few more months instead of coming out of hiding after a long dreary winter. Their seasonal companion is a box of tissues while deluged with the annoying and fatiguing sniffles, sneezing, runny nose and itchy, watery eyes.

“Allergies depend upon your geographical location; each region has pollens that are specific and the seasons vary with the weather,” says Dr. Christine McCusker, an allergy and immunology expert at McGill University Health Center. “Common to most areas are the allergens that are not seasonal per se, such as dust mites and animal dander. Dust mite levels, however, are affected by humidity and thus will be more problematic in damp climates versus dry climates, and damp seasons versus dry seasons.”

Specific tree pollens are a big offender and they vary in different parts of Canada, and so too variable weeds, says McCusker.

10 Most Common Allergy-Inducers in Canada

• Pets
• Dust mites – they thrive in beds and carpet in warm, humid weather
Indoor/Outdoor mould
• Trees, especially oak trees which shed large amounts of pollen
• Grasses, including Bermuda and blue grass
• Ragweed
• Weeds
• Mildew
• Insect bites
Air pollution

“A look at the pollen reporting found on The Weather Network site is reported by geographic region for that reason,” she says, adding among the worst offenders are the trees that shed airborne pollen, including ash, alder, birch, cedar, elm, oak and walnut.

Close to 25 per cent of Canadians suffer from seasonal allergies, though experts don’t have an exact breakdown of what affects people the most. One thing is for sure: Reactions to common airborne triggers, like ragweed and pollen, seem to be getting worse, affecting more people, and the season seems to be lasting longer too.

According to allergist and clinical immunologist Dr. Susan Waserman: “The prevalence of all allergic diseases has risen, including allergic rhinitis, food allergy, asthma and atopic dermatitis. The reasons for this are unclear and complex. One of the more popular explanations for which there is evidence is the hygiene hypothesis. For the past few decades we have been living more cleanly, better water and food sanitation, antibiotics, vaccines, etc. This has led to an immune system which has become dysregulated – it is no longer as busy fighting infection and has instead reprogrammed to developing allergy.”

Other potential contributors include early use of antibiotics has lead to a change in microbes in the body, early exposure to acetaminophen, low Vitamin D levels, air pollution, diesel exhaust, traffic exposure, cigarette smoke exposure and more, says Waserman, of the Division of Clinical Immunology and Allergy at McMaster University.”

It’s that time of year again… spring cleaning!

This includes our body, the real house we live in. Detox can help reset our system and get rid of those toxins that build up to form symptom complaints and disease. We are constantly exposed to toxins, and we need to use ways to not only avoid them, but also eliminate them from our body to prevent the accumulation that can turn into problems we will complain about.

Here are some ways to get your detox started:

● Hydrate your body well (use clean, filtered water)
● Eat very light: no processed food, low or no animal products, lots of veggies
● Use juicing as part of rejuvenation of the body (see our green juice recipe)
● Get moving! Move your body to move your main garbage collectors: your lymphatic system
● Use saunas- through sweating we by-pass the main elimination channels. We prefer infra red saunas for deeper impact
● Treat yourself with some body work – reflexology, acupuncture, yoga, massage, lymphatic massage etc.

And remember the MOST important thing is to FOCUS ON EATING REAL FOOD! Foods with real ingredients, without chemical fillers and additives. Food that your body can digest properly and process the nutrients from. Here are a couple of our favourite whole food recipes for you to try 🙂

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns we can help with!

Nancy and your Wellness Path team 🙂

Fajita Chicken meal size salad

1 Chicken breast
1 Tbsp coconut oil
1/2 diced yellow onion
1 bell pepper
2 tsp oregano (dried)
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 head romaine lettuce
1 avocado
2 tomatoes (diced)

1. Combine chicken, coconut oil, onion, pepper, oregano and cumin in a fry pan. Fry on medium heat until chicken is cooked through
2. Chop lettuce, top with the cooked chicken and veggie mix, chopped avocado and tomatoes. Enjoy!

Green Juice Recipe

1 cucumber (peeled if not organic)
½ cup water (if using blender)
5 stalks celery
1 carrot
3 cups fresh spinach leaves (organic) or greens of choice
2-3 fresh romaine leaves
1 inch ginger
½ cup parsley
½ apple
¼ of lemon (peeled if not organic)

Juice or blend (if blending, you may need to add some extra water) and drink up as close to juicing time as possible.

If your symptoms typically start in April and May, this is how we can help seriously reduce, and even prevent these symptoms from starting…

Tree pollens are a vital factor in causing spring allergies in April and May.

As the trees and bushes bud, they start to pollinate. It typically matches up to about the time that we start to cut the grass (in Canada anyway). For those with spring allergies, you will start to experience sinus trouble, itchy watery eyes, or headaches.

The natural approach used at Clarington’s Wellness Path combines homeopathy, laser acupuncture and biofeedback to bring the body back into balance and out of it’s confused state. Meaning that, when you’re exposed to the trigger it will recognize it and process it properly, without reacting. While some may remain skeptical of advances in holistic approaches, there are many who have experienced long-lasting and life changing relief from food allergies or environmental sensitivities like plants and pollens.

Iridology – What you should know! https://wellnesspath.ca/iridology-blog/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=iridology-blog https://wellnesspath.ca/iridology-blog/#respond Mon, 01 Apr 2019 19:12:12 +0000 https://wellnesspath.ca/?p=4636 The post Iridology – What you should know! appeared first on Wellness Path.

]]>

Iridology is a simple, immediate and non-invasive way of telling where the pain/inflammation is in the body, what stage it’s in, how it got there and when it’s gone.

Iridology is the scientific study of the iris of the eye. With magnification, an Iridologist is able to see a very personal map, like a fingerprint, of the body’s physiological conditions, psychological health risks, challenges and strengths of various organs and personality traits.

It is the most complex tissue of the body meeting the outside world and is connected to every organ and tissue by way of the brain and nervous system.

It not only enables us to bring images from the outside world within, but it also shows us images from the inside to the outside.

With this invaluable tool, we are able to get an understanding of your past, present and potential future health conditions, giving us the opportunity to heal and prevent potential problems that will arise through incorrect living habits.

With over 40,000 diseases in the world, iridology looks for the root cause in just five general classifications:

  1. Eliminative system: Toxic accumulation, infections, chemical imbalance
  2. Digestive system: Absorption, chemical imbalance, enzyme levels
  3. Circulatory system: Heart weakness or strength, lymph
  4. Respiratory system: Lung, bronchus, oxygen, asthma
  5. Nerves: Autonomic nervous system, stress

More than 80% of illnesses in this country are chronic. These illnesses can be monitored easily, instantly and least invasive in the iris than possibly, by any other method of analysis.

Toxin overload is a very serious condition that has been neglected in allopathic medicine. Often, unfortunately, it is the root cause of many illnesses.

Every organ is dependent on nutrition from the intestinal tract. If the intestinal tract is toxic and overloaded, every organ and tissue will become toxic and overloaded. Although a person may eat a healthy diet of organic whole foods, an overloaded digestive tract simply cannot pass the nutrition on to the body.

It is literally money down the drain. Iridology is able to access the extent of the overload, clearly see all of the organ systems that are affected and see if the organs are under or overactive.

Once a cleanse has been completed and nutrition restored, the iris shows the organ systems healing.

Meditation is training the mind, just like fitness is training the body. Just like sports… different meditation practices require different mental skills.

There are many different techniques and practices though… so where do you begin?

It’s extremely difficult for a beginner to sit for hours and think of nothing. We completely understand this.

Usually, the easiest way to begin meditating is by focusing on the breath as concentration is one of the most common aspects.

CONCENTRATION MEDITATION

Concentration involves focusing on a single point. This could entail following the breath, repeating a single word or mantra, staring at a candle flame, listening to a repetitive gong, or counting beads on a mala.

A yoga beginner might meditate for only a few minutes and then work up to a longer duration.

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION

Mindfulness encourages the practitioner to observe wandering thoughts as they drift through the mind. Noticing the thought, but not judging it is key. Acknowledge and let go.

OTHER TECHNIQUES

There are so many other meditation techniques that you can learn about!

BENEFITS OF MEDITATING

(From GAIAM)

If relaxation is not the goal, it is often a result!

In the 1970s, Herbert Benson, MD, a researcher at Harvard University Medical School, coined the term “relaxation response” after conducting research on people who practiced transcendental meditation. The relaxation response, in Benson’s words, is “an opposite, involuntary response that causes a reduction in the activity of the sympathetic nervous system.”

Since then, studies on the relaxation response have documented the following short-term benefits to the nervous system:

  • Lower blood pressure
  • Improved blood circulation
  • Lower heart rate
  • Less perspiration
  • Slower respiratory rate
  • Less anxiety
  • Lower blood cortisol levels
  • More feelings of well-being
  • Less stress
  • Deeper relaxation

SIMPLE PRACTICE FOR BEGINNERS

This meditation exercise is an excellent introduction.

  1. Sit or lie comfortably.
  2. Close your eyes.
  3. Make no effort to control the breath; simply breathe naturally.
  4. Focus your attention on the breath and on how the body moves with each inhalation and exhalation. Notice the movement of your body as you breathe. Observe your chest, shoulders, rib cage, and belly. Simply focus your attention on your breath without controlling its pace or intensity.
  5. If your mind wanders, return your focus back to your breath.

Maintain this for two to three minutes to start, and then try it for longer periods.

At Wellness Path, we offer a Brain Wellness tool called BrainTap.

Unlike programs that merely calm or soothe, BrainTap helps restore your brain’s natural balance so you can feel relaxed, rebooted and revitalized anytime, anywhere.

Allergies are present all year round, but this upcoming season is less known and often overlooked… Seasonal Allergies can be prevented!

During November and December, when we take part in festivities in the crisp, cool air, there are many traditional plants and decorations that can cause misery for those who suffer from seasonal allergies.

Symptoms like:

  • Itchy nose
  • Watery eyes
  • Wheezing
  • Coughing
  • Chest pains
  • Lethargy and
  • Insomnia

In extreme cases, seasonal allergies can lead to pneumonia!

Not only do the leaves all over the ground contain molds, but when the Christmas Season arrives, so do theose tress we happily bring into our homes.

Another possible cause is the very festive poinsettia plant. About 40% of individuals with latex allergy can develop cross sensitivity with poinsettias. This is especially if the sap comes in contact with the skin causing a rash known as allergic contact dermatitis. It is rare that severe allergic reactions occur, but it is important to note the possibility.

If you or a loved one suffers from seasonal allergies and their unwanted symptoms or are often sick and tired without reason, it is worth coming in for a full body scan with our Bioscan SRT device.

Our Health Assessments and body scans have the remarkable ability to correct the intolerances that are wearing your immune system down.

It is amazing how the SRT detects sensitivities, matches up what your symptoms may be connected to, AND corrects the root cause by neutralizing the stressors that your body is reactive to.

Let us help you NOW with your seasonal allergies so you can enjoy the festive season ahead!

80% of people around the world are affected by parasites, including those in Canada!

If you’ve ever eaten in a restaurant, eaten pork, fish or other raw meats, traveled to a warm climate, consumed unfiltered well water, enjoyed farm life, bought fresh produce, or have pets or firewood inside your home, chances are very good that you have parasites.

Parasites are VERY common.

A lot of us have some sort of parasite hanging around but are not typically considered an issue causing your health problems.

Parasites are RARELY mentioned as something you need to be aware of when seeking help to alleviate unwanted symptoms.

parasites

Parasites could very well be connected to these issues and so many more symptoms.

Parasites can cause a variety of symptoms that include most gut issues such as constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, heartburn and stomach pain.

Some of the less obvious signs are:

When Victor DeCarmo of Toronto told me he reversed his Diabetes by sweating in a SaunaRay, I wasn’t surprised. He’s the tenth person that’s told me that in the last few years.

“My doctor told me I have Type 2 Diabetes and would have to take these pills for the rest of my life,” said Victor as he held up a massive prescription bottle full of pills.

“I never took one of them,” he said smiling. “But my blood sugar is normal now.

Before Victor we had SaunaRay owners reporting that their insulin requirement had dropped to zero, or their triglycerides had normalized, or they no longer needed blood pressure medication, or they got their eyesight back, or other symptoms of diabetes had been virtually sweated out of them.

SaunaRay launched a search

to find out why this was happening, and the key word turned out to be “symptom.”

In November of 2011 our search led us to Portland, Oregon where doctors at the American College for the Advancement of Medicine reported in their annual general meeting that sudden or slow onset diabetic symptoms were just that, “symptoms”. It wasn’t a misdiagnosis but rather an unnecessary or premature one.

Doctors reported that exposure to toxic substances such as heavy metals and complex chemicals used in plastic can lead to insulin disruption and is now associated with an elevated cases of Type 2 Diabetes.

At the same medical conference the ACAM doctors also reported that these chemicals and toxic metals can be removed from our bodies most efficiently via sweat.

Often ten times more efficiently than through urine.

That means SaunaRay is ten times more effective at detoxifying the human body than any other method. That explained why Type 2 Diabetes can be treated in our saunas.

There are 79 million people in the United States whose doctor had the same conversation as Victor’s. Like Victor’s doctor they won’t mention calling SaunaRay but Victor said his instinct told him to.

His instinct was right. Today Victor is symptom free and uses his SaunaRay everyday.
